Cherry, That is one lovely skirt.  It comes in petite also and i bet that would fit you fine.  I have some tapesry jackets from Coldwater Creek I just love. You should get it in the petite size.

How tall are you Cherry?  The petite is A372215 and is 37 inches I believe.

Yes, it would be too long on you.  The one that is regular in a 40 inch would hit me right at the top of my ankle.  It is so pretty I am tempted!!!!

@crawford5153  I think it would make an elegant skirt you could wear for many years..With a white silk shirt ,and a black velvet blazer, it would be suitable for many types of events
