I don't remember that but I remember Shawn announced Jeanne's passing. I remember Shawn said they went to a break, the producers pulled her aside, told her Jeanne died and that she had to make an announcement and the camera's came back up and she pretty much off the cuff told everyone about it. They popped a picture up of Jeanne and moved on.

You could tell that Jackie the model found out while presenting one of Susan Gs top. She was trying really hard to fight back the tears. So glad when the camera panned away. Poor Jackie and RIP Joan.

I think everyone should be allowed to do whatever it is they want to do. There is nothing wrong with expressing condolences on this board.

Man, I was hoping she would pull through. I'm sad and happy--sad because I'm going to miss seeing her and happy because she really lived and enjoyed her life. A classic example of someone really honoring the God-given gift of life.

Joan Rivers opened all doors for todays female comedians. My thoughts & prayers go out to Mellisa Rivers, grandson Cooper, David Dangle, and close family & friends. You were a pillar of strenght through all your many ups and downs over the years. Now you're joining Robin Williams in the Heaven Comedy Store. RIP Joan Rivers.

So sad...prayers for Melissa, Cooper and the rest of her family. Joan will be missed, she was one of a kind. I feel so blessed that I was able to see her on stage a year ago.
