Does anybody else think that they make (for the most part) jeans too long??? I mean, let me ask this question --- does the average woman wear their jeans with really high heeled shows and boots and this is why they make jeans so long??? I, myself, was looking recently for just a basic casual, inexpensive pair of jeans to wear with sneakers and the regular ones were way too long and the petites were too short on me. I don't want to buy a pair of inexpensive jeans and then have to pay a ton of money to get them shortened. I am not good at cutting things off and hemming them!
Anyone?
I will not spend a ton of money on a pair of jeans. I can't afford to and I rarely wear them. I just thought I would like to have a pair to wear now that the weather is turning and I can have to wear with sweaters and nice sweatshirts, etc.
Thanks for your thoughts!

I need at least a 31" inch inseam. That would be an ankle pant for me but it is doable.

I find petite pants too long.

So many times on the Q I see women wearing very long pants. I never would. I think length of pants likely can vary between brands.

I don't like any pants, regular or jeans dragging all over the floor or ground - yuck. There are ankle pants, capri pants, and full length and I like them all. But I just think those ones that are way too long, whether on purpose or not, don't look good at all. As most of us know, it is hard enough to find a decent pair of jeans that fit well, and then you have the added issue of finding the right length.

AngelPuppy1 - Yes! I thought I was the only one. I like an ankle length jean in the summer (27/28") and no longer than 29" for the winter. I wear booties/shooties and skechers in the winter and hate when the length covers my shoes. I am 5'7" but do not like anything 30" or above. When I see the models with the long jeans, almost touching the floor it looks so sloppy.

A solution may be to cut the long jeans to the length you want and just leave the raw edge. Many jeans are sold this way. I wouldn't do this for expensive jeans that I reserve for dressier occasions, but for inexpensive jeans I wear around the house and errands it works for me.
I have also turned jeans into capris or crop pants with this method.

Nope!
I have long legs.

I am 5'3 and need an inseam less than 29". I am seeing that the petite lengths are now considered 29-30". I don't like wearing high heels to be able to wear jeans.
