Not to sound,  it both Jane and Shawn wear clothing a size or two too small. I don't get it.

I saw here in person 15 years ago and she wasn't a small then either

The dress wasn't their style at all. Jane has always looked really good and 50s dresses. They flatter her figure and just suit her personality more
