I think Maria is pretty well true to size probably could go up one more, but, when Carolyn says "maria, is wearing the same size as me, a size L" Maria, will shake her head no and say no I'm XL.  She's more mature and a Grandma and doesn't have any hang ups.

I applaud her. She wouldn't be happy eating like a size 2 nor would I

I used to see Maria in tight clothing all the time; never could get those jackets closed.  She lost some weight but seems to be putting a bit on again; however, these days the clothing seems to fit better than it used to.  Though she looks fine for her build Maria's clothes need to also be the correct size.

Doesn't bother me to see robust models just own it and wear what the size chart dictates. Easy.

I could look at the size chart and go mmmmmmm I really need a large, but, think I will get a XS, get it home and use it for a dust rag. LOL

I miss Rebecca the redhead too, Iris and I think the other plus size model was Jesse the clothes always fit them nicely and they didn't have to cover up the item they were presenting with a jacket or shrug you were able to se the actual item presented.

This is another annoying tactic QVC uses,  they present an item but cover it up with a shrug, jacket or something.  I like to see the full garment all around; but I finally realized that sometimes there is an issue with the fit or size so they use other methods not to show it so they clearly know what they are doing.

I  TOTALLY AGREE THE CLOTHES ARE FAR TO SMALL FOR HER.

If only it was just Jackie!!  I rarely see  models in sizes that are really the right ones for them.  No one wears a jacket that will button - no one.  Blouses tend to gap at the buttonholes or bunch up under the arms if there aren't buttons.  Tees, well I won't even mention those; and the "too short" pants that they have the models roll up are horrid.

Another no no for me is the nodels with the long hair (no matter how lovely the hair may be) allowing the hair to drape to the front and conceal the neck lines of the garments.  I don't buy when that happens either.  If I can't see how something looks when properly fitted, and  you can't see the total effect of the garment, QVC will get no $$ from me.

I don't think that's true at all.  I see models on the Isaac Mizrahi shows with buttoned and zipped jackets quite often, as Isaac likes to show how the jackets look both buttoned or zipped and not.

I think he actually shows models in proper sizes for the mostpart.  It's just the hostess who wants to squeeze into things that are too small.  I've heard Isaac mention more than once that she might want to size up.  He's very gentlemanly about it.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Right, that's because she finally sized up to an XL from the L she was wearing for quite a while.

Actually, Iris was "busty," and tops often pulled on her!

Actually, Jackie is short for a model at 5'8" or 5'9". You can tell she has shorter arms as most jackets hit her below the wrist. Even some of the regular inseam pants are too long for her.   I can tell if something fits Katia, it will fit me as far as height goes. Now she is a size 2 and I am an 8, but I am 5'11.

Jackie, in my opinion is stunning if they style her right. And I agree with the OP, they usually do not.  Because she is curvy, pants should fit her higher in the waist. The shirts they style her in are just too small.  I think they would compliment her and the clothing if she were styled according to herody form to bring out her curves...not make her looked like she's stuffed into the clothing.

@bmorechick

I guess we all see things differently.  I would not describe Jackie as curvy--at all.  She clearly does not have a defined waist and I believe that is part of the fit problems.

There once was a model who always worked for Isaac Mizrahi.  She was a redhead with beautiful peaches and cream skin.  I believe her name was Rebecca.  While larger than Jackie, she truly was curvy and didn't seem to have the same fit issues.

Curvy does not necessarily refer to actual curves, but one who is plus size.

I find that to be a misnomer.  I am not a plus size, but I would describe myself as curvy because I have an hourglass shape.
