I am going on an Alaskan Cruise at the end of June and need advice as to what water resistant jacket you would recommend. It gets chilly, especially by the glaciers and coming from Arizona my tolerance for cold is minimal at best.
I was looking at Liz, Basso and Graver WR jackets, but dont know if they are too thin like a wind breaker or not.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me

I think technical equipment for this kind of thing is the best. You can try Eddie Bauer or Eastern Mountain Sports. They have a wide variety for different needs that vary in temps and and weather precipitation.

@Calcgirl, you might try one with a zip out lining. I agree with posters who say you should get one that is waterproof breathable. If it is just waterproof, you will sweat. Waterproof breathable is best so that your jacket can let the air circulate.
Any of the big name sports stores carry them. As a suggestion, try Columbia or Under Armour. LM

When it comes to cold, I will choose leather. It not only looks good, but is practical when it comes to keeping you warm, yet not overheating. If you are averse to leather, there are many options in warm breathable fabric.

I did an Alaskan cruise last August. I purchased a wind breaker type jacket that repelled water from LL Bean. It didn't cost alot but was a perfect layering piece that kept me warm and dry. My trip was great and I hope yours will be as well.

It's not going to be extremely cold, but can get chilly when you're on the deck of a ship that's underway. I'd take a warm sweatshirt and a waterproof jacket because it's pretty much guaranteed to rain at least one day but may not be very cold. I took a Basso raincoat with hood, then layered depending on the conditions for the day. I was quite comfortable.
I'm jealous too!
