IM has a couture line, do you really think he designs cotton t shirts? I’m pretty sure they just go to the warehouse in China and lace their order. I think that many of them just lend three name to the line, sort of a glorified sales rep. Case in point...I bought jean jackets last year, one from IM and another from DG2 (on HSN) exact same jacket, just different label. They are relying on celebrity advertising.
Same with the earrings that Shawn and Amy “designed” they may have had a hand in what style bring to the channel but they certainly didn’t design them. They are everywhere! And on sale!

I think when he first came to QVC, he was more involved in the designing of the clothing. Of course, they all have teams, but I think he painted a lot of the prints, and of course was involved in the details. If you have watched and been an avid fan like me, you can see a huge difference in the quality of the designs in the last year or two. They have become mundane. Oh, yes, here and there something looks like the Isaac of old. I purchased a floral cold shoulder peplum recently for vacation that is beautiful. I don't watch regularly anymore like I used to though. I don't enjoy the shows as much (I still love Isaac). There are too many essentials presentations (big money maker for the company) and too much repetition of styles (like the ad nauseum lace tunics, etc.). The lace items often look alike. Occasionally I'll look at his items online. I always thought his 24/7 pants were nice in their fit, but they wrinkled too much for my taste. I've moved on to better fabrics. No one could possible do all the activities he does (his theatrical shows, Project Runway, other B&M stores) and still have a real hands on approach to the team at QVC.

I really dont know anymore.
But I have a ton of Isaacs stuff...his yarn from Michaels, pj pants and makeup bag from TJMAXX, Wallet from Marshalls. He must do some designing. ITs his passion, He has really branched out with writing, theatre, many design shows.
HES JUST FABULOUS . I ADORE WATCHING AND LISTENING TO HIM AND LOVE MOST OF HIS DESIGNS, MINUS THE PEPLUMS...NOT GOOD ON MY APPLE BODY.

I have heard her say quite a few times she has a great team she works with.........
@kelsey17 Her team might not be anything more than a couple people who accompany her on trips and appear at meetings, keeping her informed, keeping her on time, helping her with her schedules (administrative types who are known to be fashion savvy).

I think he probably has an input into his QVC line. I've heard him say during shows, that they work one or two seasons ahead, so what is now being presented was actually designed about a year before. I'd forget the colors too!
I didn't know QVC named the colors. That explains the overlap in designer colors I see sometimes.
Isaac has always given credit to his team. I think he probably DOES the original sketch, the the team does the rest. The sketch is what he seems to love to do!

Have you ever really thought about how much time and how many steps, procedures, choices and people it takes to take an item from "Design to Garment?"
No one person could possible do it all. It doesn't surprise me that he has not seen the finished item until they are on the air and QVC has named it a color. His sketch come to life!

I believe he still designs for the runway but as far as QVC, Isaac has a group of designers that work for him so he is not designing everything for QVC. However, whoever is designing all the lace tops and dresses needs to STOP!

@born2runqt...I say that all the time. What’s wrong with it?
