Isaac's Barn Jacket TSV - Defective lining

I decided to take a chance on this jacket even though the presentations indicated there might be an issue with the lining. I ordered the wine and black colors. The wine arrived today and tomorrow it will be at the post office for a return as a defective garment.

There are already about 20 reviews reporting that the lining is too long. The lining on the jacket that I received hangs about 1/2" below the sleeve edge and the bottom of the jacket. The fit is really nice otherwise, and I do like the color and fabric. But, I'm sending it back. I'd be embarrassed to wear it.

The gamble didn't pay off. Oh well!

I ordered the black too but haven't gotten it yet. I did see all of the negative reviews and I have a feeling mine is going to be returned as well.

@haddon9 I'm crossing my fingers that we get lucky with the black! My order just shipped so it will arrive in a couple of days, unless UPS takes it on a joy ride all over the country, 😉

@rms1954 No, they would never call out a defect during a presentation. But you could see the lining showing a bit on the garment during some of the presentations.

I saw that coming! It was obvious there was something wrong with that lining when I first saw it presented as the TSV.

I remember the day they were presenting the jacket there was an ongoing thread here discussing about the lining and the sleeve problem. Many posters said that they would not order it because of what they saw.

I'm guessing here as I don't watch Isaac Mizrahi...period. But I'm assuming customers watching the presentation may have noticed the longer lining hanging out here and there and mentioned it on the boards as a potential issue. I would think the only words used to describe the garment on air were "stunning, fabulous, monied, incredible, gorgeous." We all know the spiel.

@SilleeMee @SeaMaiden Yep, I saw the issue but decided to gamble anyway. And I remember that thread. I even posted that I was going to take a chance on it. The gamble didn't pay off, but that's o.k.. I'm not mad, just a bit disappointed that it didn't work out in my favor. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. C'est la vie!
