I seriously doubt it's mold.  Since when is mold pink?

 

Years ago I ordered a black IM knit top and it had pink dots in various places around it.  I think other dye got on my black shirt.  I sent it back and got my money back.  Easy fix.

Actually, "mold" can be pink.  It's usually found in showers, etc. and is a type of bacteria.
