Re: Is this Lisa's necklace?

The necklace was part of a collection that Tiffany's had a few years ago. I own it and Lisa's looks almost identical.

There are high dollar gold versions of this necklace out there.  I believe Lisa said she spotted this in Italy and did a knock-off.  My guess is Chico's is a knock-off as well.  LOL

Chico is following a trend without being obnoxious.  Lisa specifies constantly that she got the idea from a high end design.  There's a difference.

It is Lisa's modus operandi to dumb down something from her collection and sell it at top dollar because it is resplendent part of Lisa.  I'm sure the one Lisa spotted in Italy and probably owns is made of gold.  Her fans get the knock-offs.  Not a noble gesture in regard to all of her followers and worshipers.  She's using her tribe to her advantage and I find that contemptable.  But that's the way in money ventures, no matter where, no matter who.  Nevertheless, I don't like how LR rubbs it in that she can afford the HE stuff.  She's subtle but never misses a beat.

How is selling fashion jewelry, at an affordable price, based on high end expensive pieces, 'contemptible'?

Here is just a little hazard with these tassel necklaces.  I had a sterling one on today and the tassel part got caught in my keyboard and when I leaned back, it pulled the tassels right off the jump ring.  Hoping DH can fix it.  LOL

At least you were'nt laying across your desk with your head attached to your keyboard! lol

I was once stuck at a drawbridge...(driving a manual transmission) when Voila! with a simple flick of my wrists my hands were stuck together because of my bracelets! Just then the bridge went back down, I panicked and ripped my hands apart and the bracelets went flying throughout the car!

You missed the point.  It's not the product, it's the intent that is contemptible.  See the post about GILI bags above.  Lisa is simply very disingenuous.

Isadora Duncan's fondness for flowing scarves contributed to her death in an automobile accident in Nice, France, when she was a passenger in an Amilcar. Her silk scarf, draped around her neck, became entangled around the open-spoked wheels and rear axle, breaking her neck.

Scarves, as well as tassels, hoop earrings, dangles of all sorts can be risky business.  It's a good thing if they tear or fall apart to avoid injury.

I'm a Lisa fan and can't imagine why she's selling on her web site and not on a shopping channel.  Perhaps she has plans to add ways of selling her stuff in the future.  She was so hugely successful selling at QVC that I can't imagine why QVC or HSN wouldn't pick up her line.

I don't wear jewelry and so have stopped buying anything because I know I won't wear it.  If she's selling Christmas decorations next fall, as she said she'd be doing at some point, I'll check them out.

That's a good price for a necklace of that size and with that much detail if it's gold-plated sterling silver.
