Thanks for the update on her schedule @They Call Me MR Wilkes!. Did not know.
@CatLady72 She had sold her business to Xcel Brands and had to buy it back. Not sure what happened, but Xcel didn't want to make payments due Lori under the sale contract and they negotiated a buy back. I don't believe anything of what was said about this, and that's OK, not my business. Xcel had previously sold 70% of its share of Isaac's business, so they must have needed the cash. Xcel brands has declining sales, and I think the only thing that improved their cash flow last year was stopping payments to Lori. But I am ready to see new items!
It looks like Lori had to find a new manufacturer, which was a part of the biz that Xcel was handling, and that took some time. But Q must have had too much inventory based on the number of items available despite not having anything new.
I love her clothes (not everything!), and I hope she continues to bring cotton rich fashions. She had started with rayon, which pilled, and was terrible. Before her deal with Xcel she did upgrade her materials, and I loved her clothing, and bought tons. Most recently, she had started selling thin rayon again, and I reduced my shopping. And then came the buyback and no new fashions.
Looking forward to the return of high quality materials and interesting and "fit me" designs. Most qvc brands don't fit me as well, or have too much polyester.
