Is all 2-ply cashmere the same?

i have seen 2-ply cashmere sweaters quite similar to the ones Isaac is selling at Marshall's for $69.  They are very soft and look like nice quality.  I'm wondering why Isaac's are being offered for over $100 more than those at Marshall's.  Isn't cashmere cashmere?

it's his name. Sweaters very similar to Those sweaters of his are sold at Macy's for $30. I bought a beautiful flower one for less than $20 and it was fantastic. Designer name, designer prices ....the sweaters were also cheaper when he was at target. I like his items but don't buy them.

I still have the Precious Fibers cashmere sweaters  I bought from the Q years ago , they were 2 ply and you can't see through them. The 2 ply they are selling now a days I can see through, so I doubt if the quality is the same.

I also have some Precious Fiber sweaters, and I agree--they are much more substantial that the Isaac cashmere. I miss the Precious Fiber products.

All two ply cashmere is not the same. Two ply only means that two threads of yarn are wound together. It has nothing what so ever to do with the quality of the yarn. A good cashmere sweater is four ply, not two ply, and the yarn is spun using long fibers. The longer the fibers, the softer the cashmere. Cheap cashmere can be made from what's sweep up from the floor and then spun into yarn.

Precious Fibers were made from a cashmere of lower quality.

I have several of the Issac cashmere cardigans and they are thick and heavy. They do not appear to be as expensive and he claims they would be in stores.  I do not use them for dressy occasions.  Sorry, but basically, they look cheap.   At the time I purchased then, about 4 years ago, they were on clearance and easy pay.  No  more since then,

The quality of Issac's clothes are comparable to Kohl's. The prices of the IM line of clothes for the quality are way off.

I found  some Old Glory pants at Walmart after purchasing Issac's 24 - 7 line of pants - they were the exact same thing for $14.  It offend some IM posters when I posted about it but they really are the exact same feel, look and quality.   He is not putting out  quality clothes.  But I am sure that is Q making sure their profits stay high by bringing in cheaper fabrics.

I've had a LOT of cashmere from kohl's and the certainly did not have the IM price tag attached.  They were all 2ply but very substantial.  Loved them but through the years have given the all away.

I've seen them at marshall's too - gorgeous selection of colors and designs - V-neck, cowls, button down, crews.  all very lovely at great prices too.

I love a great SOFT cashmere sweater.  A long time ago the Q had a turtle neck and and V-neck cardi (a long one) that I bought both in black, apparently at great price point.  I can't recall, they're that old.  Very soft, cuddly.  I MUST get those out and wear them this season!!!!  I don't seem to wear them that often.

I love me some cashmere and have older IML sweaters bought at clearance prices that are wonderful quality. All Q prices are high.

I love cashmere, but have long arms and always found them to be skimpy in length and weight at Macy's. I did try one on at Nordstrom's last year and it was 4-ply. Amazing feel and fit. I was also $350 dollars....I passed. I have always been leery to try cashmere at QVC figuring it too would be skimpy.
