Xcel Brands stated in their Decenber 2015 annual report that they had a license to manage and design  Liz Claiborne New York through July 2016 and that going forward their focus would be on their wholly owned brands (Isaac Mizrahi, Ripka. Halston and C Wonder).  So looks like it is being dropped.

It looks like QVC will soon be an Xcel world.

Totally unrelated to Liz Claiborne being dropped, but Xcel used to sell some of the nicest leather coats I've ever seen presented on TV on the former Value Vision (now Evine).  I hope they go back to their tanneries and procure produce some leather to use in outerwear for their QVC brands.

I agree I have a couple of Xcel leather jackets, they are nice and were nicely priced.

Xcel company is not the one who makes the popular leather jackets. That one was a company called Excelled and was very popular on evine at one time. They still sell the Excelled gloves though and they are very nice. I too was confused with the names Xcel and Excelled.

I used to love Liz Claiborne clothes but as with so many old lines, they seemed to cheapen and I drifted away.  A few years back, I bought PJ's of theirs at JCP.  Based on those, I never tried a single item from their QVC line.

Obviously, some had better luck.  Still, I try not to live in the past -  it just doesn't seem worth the angst.

I never purchased from that line.  I do recall reading many posts complianing about the qualtiy of the clothing (compared to years before)  Also a lot of the clothes didn't show a lot of sell outs.  So I'm not surprised by demise (if it does happen that way)  The line has been around for many years.  I grew up seeing that brand is different clothing stores before QVC
