Re: Is Denim & Co a Hit or Miss?

I buy a lot of Denim and Co.  But I have to agree that I have not been happy with some of my recent purchases.  Some fabrics have pilled.  Others have shrunk too much.  Tired of all the flowery prints.  I am being more selective now.  And if I don't love it at first try on, back to goes.

Calling a printed cotton blended t shirt Studio doesn't make it worth $45. Plus.

Funny...

I've been a fan of the brand since 2004 and this year I purchased more Denim & Co than I ever had in the past. I LOVE all of my purchases and have only exchanged 2 for a different size.

I even started a thread several days ago with most of my fave purchases this year being Denim & Co.  Smiley Very Happy

I agree 100% too much spandex very rubbery fabric. Some of the items I had ordered were like a suba diving suit.  I know I am going to get some negative comments about my next comment but I agree that D&Co has become to matronly, right there with Susan Graver...can someone please tell Susan there are more fabrics then polyester! I didn't make a negative comment just my opinion.  Just like you had your own opinion about how much you like D&Co.  We just don't agree, no reason to get snarky.  I hope you have a good day. Heart

There is a difference between negative thoughts and critiques.  The OP was just stating her opinion on things she does not like about Denim and Co. We have to voice what we like as well as what we don't like.  I don't know if Gary or any designers read these boards, or if the ideas get back to them.  But how are they supposed to know what we want without knowing what we don't want?  I think women have expressed wanting more elbow sleeves, slightly longer dresses, pockets in dresses, more 100% cotton items, etc., and those things have come to fuition.  If we don't point out what we don't want, we will just get more of the same, or things we don't want.  But for people who want to shop at QVC, I think they owe it to Gary and the others to speak up, because if they listen, then everyone wins.

Re: Is Denim & Co a Hit or Miss?

I love Denim & Co and have found that recently I am buying more and more than I ever have.  I have never had to return any D & C piece.  I attribute my increase in purchasing to Gary Goben and his team, who are trend right and constantly updating their offerings.  They travel to Europe many times during the year and know the trends without being too trendy!  So for me, this line is wonderful!
