Mother of the bride Lori wore this custom Audrey + Brooks floral design featuring a plunging neckline and a detachable bow and train. Her daughter Amanda's wedding dress was by Ramona Keveza.

There were the usual comments that the Mom was trying to upstage the daughter, it's not her day, she wants to be the star.

They purchased their gowns together while on a shopping trip in NYC, and Amanda said her Mom's gown was perfect. She said her Mom looked stunning, and that it was just as much her Mom's day as it was hers.

I agree with Amanda, who doesn't want their Mom to shine too? Why are women always portrayed as competing with each other for attention, even a loving Mother and daughter? 

Bu the way there is now a waitlist for this custom MOB dress.

The mother is very attractive. How could the mother play that down? And why would she? IMO, she could have worn a potato sack and still looked good.

My gosh.....what a beautiful dress.  

The fabric looks very expensive.  

As long as her daughter Amanda loves it, good for her.
