Re: Interesting read regarding RFID wallets

The thing I object to the most is the vendors continually act as if all these cards being compromised are done so by someone with one of these readers and they assume everyone has the new cards with the chip in them.

My debit card has been compromised several times.  I don't have a card with a chip.  My card is being compromised while being used at a store, getting gas or while ordering on-line.

These wallets, purses or card holders like they are selling today on HSN wouldn't have done anything for me.  The vendors always conveniently leave out these will only help those with a new card that has a chip.

Re: Interesting read regarding RFID wallets

My card has been compromised - without having a chip! I read that aluminum foil is just as effective as anything RFID protective- I'll go that route. I'm also going to put my cards in their slots backwards, that's great to know! I tend to have  multiple cards in each slot, I wonder if that impacts the reading devices.
