I like the boots except that they are only HALF leather!  QVC does this with a lot of their boots -- trying to cut down on returns, I assume, by making the back half some type of stretchy fabric.

This may be part of the reason, but last winter there were lots of half leather/half stretch boots in department stores as well . . . some of them from fairly high-end brands and VERY expensive.

The Earth boots were not my personal style, I do not care for the built in "slouchy" look, but I highly recommend stretchy back boots. I was ecstatic when designers started offering this in their boot designs as I have athletic calves that are just a little too big for the standard circumference that had been offered in the past in all leather boots. However, I do think we should be charged accordingly for half of the boot being elastic, or in the case of the TSV, neoprene.  These costs can be downright insulting considering sometimes less than half the boot is actual leather.
