Inconsistent sizing across "colors!"

I received two sets of items from Isaac Mizrahi  today (a pima jacket and matching tank). I ordered two sets: one in blue and one in black. The blue tank in medium was super small. So, I then tried on the black set....and guess what? The black tank was a true size medium. So, the same item - both ordered in medium - were VERY different in sizing. How does that happen? WHY does that happen? It is so frustrating because I actually like it a great deal. Has this happened to any of you?

That's not unusual - many times different colors are made in different factories ..... cut just a bit different, sewn a bit different.

Sometimes - even the fabrics aren't exactly the same ... perhaps because of the dyes used.

@Goldengate8361  That happens to me once in awhile too...

The last time was with a set of 2 Isaac Mizrahi t-shirts A378218. I mentioned in my recent review of the issue with the navy set I ordered. However, when I later ordered the yellow set which I received a couple of days ago, I was relieved both are true to size. So it is not the same issue along sizes or colors...SMH.

Sadly, there is no way to update my review about the yellow set so folks know that other colors options might be fine.

I agree with @ALRATIBA  as that being the issue...made at different factories/locations.

I would take my measuring tape and compare to posted measurements, the sole reason I am a qvc fashion shopper.  I think a 1" variance is acceptable, humans actually sew each garment on a machine.  If there is a greater variation, item is defective, and you could return as such.  You can also return without measuring, I am just saying I would.  It has happened to me too.

I have had the same experience, and have been "scolded" here and told to use the click here measurements!  I do use them...

Yes, up to 2 1/2 inches difference from QVC measurements; which is significant to me, but it isn't only between colors.

For example.  I purchased two pairs of Denim & Co jeans, same style, same color, as Christmas presents.  One in size 10 and one size 8.   Both measured QVC's size 6.  Made in China.

Then for a birthday, I purchased two pairs of Denim & Co jeggings, same size, one in red, the other in blue. Both measured the same.  Made in Indonesia.

I purchased two Denim & Co tees for myself, same size, different colors, both measured the same.  Made in Indonesia.

I don't doubt it for a minute!

They always go with the cheaper factory.
