What is the item number for the sets you purchased?

I ordered the tank and am very disappointed. The pima is not the same as his other pima cotton --- thinner and has a "slinky" feel, which I do not enjoy. Bought two white and they do not fit the same -- both were on large size, just one bigger than the other. Most noticable at the arm hole. The white is see thru. Also on the short side. UGH.

The IM pima cotton has been my go to for substantial tank that holds up for years of wear and washing. I was interested because of the reversible neckline. I feel like an old crumdgeon who hates change. It's really about changing the quality that annoys me. Smiley Happy

@kate2357

I bought some Karen Scott tanks from Macy's last year, or maybe the year before, in 100% cotton but they're a heavier consistency than I prefer.

Re: Inconsistent sizing across "colors!"

@Andreatoo

Thanks for rec ... I think you, or someone mentioned them last year and I did buy them. They are nice and I wear them, but the original pima cotton IM tanks really were a cut above anything else I've purchased. It's ridiculous how many stupid white tanks I have purchased over the years. But I layer almost everything -- for a variety of reasons. Stupid post menopausal heat issue (too hot/too cold) and for modesty reasons (why, yes, I am cold. How did you know?).

I didn't buy too many clothing items last year and this year I'm going to buy on the premise that life will get closer to normal and I will actually have a place to wear stuff. I'm so sick and tired of the stuff that's been in my closet for the past 2-3 years and some of the colors this year are colors I do enjoy wearing.

Re: Inconsistent sizing across "colors!"

Factories have been known to sew any label on a garment to meet the order requirements.  For example, say they needed to make 600 size large and 800 size XL.

Instead they actually made 800 large and 600 XL.  To hide their manufacturing error they simply label the garments to match the original order.  As a result 400 garments will not match the manufacturing specs.   The buyer (us) has no idea the garments are "out of spec" and will not match the same garment in the same size where the item and the label are both correct.

I hope this makes sense.Smiley Happy

Re: Inconsistent sizing across "colors!"

I've made the mistake of not trying on each color when I order multiples.

I have been stuck with some that don't fit because it is passed the 30 days before I wear it...

Re: Inconsistent sizing across "colors!"

Yes!  About 2 years ago I ordered two pairs of the same Martha Stewart jeans.  Same style, same size, different colors of denim.  One pair was too small, one pair too big and a different length.   Both pairs had labels that stated size 4-regular.   I laid both pairs of jeans on my bed, one pair on top of the other, and there was 1 1/2 - 2 inches difference in hips and length.

I've told this story before on this forum and some posters criticized me for not using the online measurements.  I do read those measurements, but those measurements are not always correct.

Re: Inconsistent sizing across "colors!"

I think this has happened to many of us.  That's why I hardly buy clothing anymore on the Q.  I got tired of going to the tailor, espeically to have the armholes brought in because they are sometimes so ridiculously huge!  Yes, thankfully I can still wear sleevless garments and live in them all summer.   I did purchase a LD jacket due to his clothing being marked down so much.......while I love the jacket I had to have the sleeves shortened, which adds to the price......   Anyway, I have said this before and it bears repeating.  You can check the "garment measurements" all you want.......it simply doesn't mean squat if the garment received doesn't actually match them!

Have this happen for years when I want a dark and a black jean.  All brands.  Just have to try them both on.

Yes, yes, and yes, I thought it was just me!  Not just with stuff on QVC either.  I was convinced that black fits smailler than other colors.  I wonder if it is only women's clothing??
