Re: In appreciation of QVC's models ...

Namealreadytaken may have been a bit abrasive in her response but I do get where she's going with it. Clearly the vendor wants them to do that. they don't do that for every single vendor! DG was a bit of an a@@ to the models last visit; she was actually yelling at them ! I've seen her get a little aggressive with the camera man too

Re: In appreciation of QVC's models ...

For some reason it doesn't really bother me, although I don't stick around to watch the entire presentation(s).

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I have seen HSN's models several times.  Q's models seem much more professional.

I so agree about the simpering model. I can't figure out who all that is for since mostly women would be looking and shopping for clothes and would not like all the pouting and preening. I turn her off whenever she is on.

I see nothing wrong with it.  I like HSN's models.

I think all the models on all 3 shopping networks are professional.

Re: In appreciation of QVC's models ...

If the models are crouching, jumping, etc. it's because the vendor and producer want them to do so.  When the models aren't moving often you can hear a vendor ask them to twirl or do something to show the movement and/or stretch of the clothes.  It doesn't bother me.

On this subject the one which I find mildy annoying is the habit of a  few of the Evine hosts. I'm refraining from saying the names, but they have a tendency to jump right in front of the models on the runway, and sometimes these offenders are not even wearing the item being presented.

That sounds exactly the way the Q models act during a Women with Control show. What's the difference??

What about when the Q models start twirling and dancing?  That's pretty annoying.

The job of a shopping channel is to get your attention. Sounds like they are doing a good job. Especially those of you who tune in a lot to watch the people selling the products.
