While I do like lace up boots (but without the zipper...HATE) , these are so clunky looking.  They said this is a repeat of a TSV from last year, but they don't have as many in stock as last year.  I bet this stock is leftover from last year plus all the returns.

The only thing in the article that didn't appeal was Tweed Touches ....  to quote:

I'm not crazy about the clunky footwear either. I've seen pairs that look worse than the TSV though.

Some other fall 2021 trends that don't appeal to me...

Midriff baring tops

Vests

Baggy pants and jeans 

Fur

Oversized coats and blazers 

Acid washed denim

I have an affinity for lace-up boots. They take me back to my mountaineering days as a young adult here in the Colorado mountains. Those were the happiest days of my life.
