In A Blazer Frame of Mind

[ Edited ]

This is the time of year I usually "fall" for blazers and am constantly on the hunt for a few of my favorite articles of clothing to spruce of my wardrobe.

I recently purchased from Stacy London's October collection in Corduroy, and Denim & Company's Velvet blazers in Chocolate Brown and Black and Mallard (advanced orders).

From J Crew,  I found a Wool Boucle "shrunken" blazer in "Dry Timber."  I'm petite so this is right up my alley at 23+ inches (shown below) ...

What are you seaching for this fall in your favorite category, if anything?

Darn you.  Smiley Happy  You made me look at the new Stacy London blazer.  I had already bought one of the shorter ones a few weeks ago and liked it so I looked at the new corduroy blazer and bought the tobacco.

I succumbed to this one from Talbots.  I call it my Hogwarts blazer.

@Bookplate  - that is a super cool blazer!  Love it.  Went to Talbots.  They really have a big selection of blazers.  I want the one you bought!

Alas, I am also a sucker for a good blazer! We have such a limited fall/ winter season where I live but I love a good blazer or chic cardigan to finish off an outfit.

@SoX

You have made some beautiful choices.  You have very good taste.  You are going to look very special in all these beautiful clothes. Thank you for sharing these pictures with us and telling us about what you are going to wear.  When you are dressed in all this, do you mind being your own photography and share with us!?! PLEASE

My DIL bought a J Crew blazer tonight.  It's a fitted at the waist, similar color but longer version.  She is tall and very long waisted.

We both love J Crew.  My daughter doesn't shop at J Crew so I enjoy my DIL who likes to shop with me and share pictures. She's a beautiful person and very, very sweet, a good mother, a good wife, the best DIL in the world.

@Nonametoday ... thanks for your sweet compliment.  I have a weakness for blazers and wear them all the time, mostly with plain jeans or corduroy pants, sneakers or boots; and a tee shirt, crew neck or turtleneck, depending on the weather.  That's me on any given day.

And, while I enjoy others who post what they wear, I'd rather not...

Your daughter-in-law sounds like a beautiful young woman ... you two have a great relationship ... much like my granddaughter and I ...  who gets her share of my blazers every year, LOL.
