Re: If You Own Some, Does Bronzo Look Like Real Gold

I just looked at both items mentioned in post #9.

While they are very pretty - I do not think they look like real gold at all.

If somebody had them on I wouldn't believe they were the real deal..if that isn't an issue for you then buy the necklance and enjoy your purchase.

Over $200 for colored bronze to be outrageous.

Re: If You Own Some, Does Bronzo Look Like Real Gold

I think it looks somewhat like 14kt rose gold.,,the ones I have, But it has a beauty and look all it's own. I really like it. I don't think anyone would think the large pieces I have are authentic 14k or 18k gold...they would cost many thousands of dollars. Anyway, I was a gold lover, but since I sold all my pieces and the prices are so hi, I buy SS ...I love the Southwestern artists, Tenorio, Casuse and Johnson. the only downside to silver is the tarnishing.

Culebra owns the necklaces so she has seen them in person. You are looking at them on a computer monitor. I think I'd take her opinion on this.

I don't know about you but there have been times when I ordered something on .com and the color in person looked nothing like it did on the computer.

Re: If You Own Some, Does Bronzo Look Like Real Gold

The Q silver and bronze clad are meant to match 14k, because that is the standard in the US. most Americans who see 18k probably think it is costume because it is so much darker than 99% of our gold. If you go to Europe where 18k is the standard, that's different. Then some Asian countries have a standard of 22 or 24kt. So all gold except 24kt are not "real" if you mean pure gold. They are all alloys of gold and other metals, except 24kt. I have a tiny 24kt bracelet. It is very beautiful, but much, much darker and yellower tha 18kt. In India, and some other countries, your 18 it would be considered inferior.

I am interested in how authentic the yellow looks, as compared to the real yellow, 18K.

Re: If You Own Some, Does Bronzo Look Like Real Gold

I have three pieces in the Rose Gold and they are lovely. Believe me, I'm demanding, because I am someone who Loves Rose Gold.

None of my pieces are the large, heavy pieces, mainly because I would not choose that type of jewelry in the real deal, either. I'm just not a fan of really heavy jewelry.

I kind of doubt that I'll buy more of the Bronzo, unless something really catches my eye, but, what I have I like very much and find the color spot on.

Re: If You Own Some, Does Bronzo Look Like Real Gold

I ordered a pair of Bronzo earrings, and they looked nothing like the rest of my real yellow gold. The bronzo yellow was much more brassy. I have a few pieces of fake gold, and they look fine mixed with my real 18k Tiffany gold. Unfortunately, the Bronzo did not work for me. Too bad, I like the idea of it.

PS - my observation is based on the "yellow gold" Bronzo. I can't speak to the white or rose.

Re: If You Own Some, Does Bronzo Look Like Real Gold

Even though as mentioned previously, I absolutely loved the two Bronzo Italia necklaces I purchased, I decided to take a flyer on a Bronzo bracelet. The bracelet on TV, as presented by Mary Beth Rowe, looked spectacular. I ordered it in Rose gold. When it arrived, the style of the rose gold bracelet was beautiful. It was J296353 Bronzo Italia Polished & Textured Status Byzantine Bracelet. I felt when I received the bracelet, though lovely, it went right back as I felt the rose gold color was off. It did not complement my rose gold Byzantine necklace at all. It was far too pink whereas my necklace is more of a champagne rose. On reviewing I am the only one giving the bracelet 4 stars for style only. Everyone else gave it 5 stars. After this experience, I have decided that Bronzo jewelry should be evaluated on an individual basis as to color.

Re: If You Own Some, Does Bronzo Look Like Real Gold

Hello. I am the OP. Thank you for replying. I have been eyeing an oval rolo necklace that comes in four lengths. The chains show up as semi-chunky. Anyone have this item? There is also a matching bracelet. I don't know the item number, but I know that there are two different oval rolo necklaces. Do these look like real gold when you wear them? I will be mixing with 18K earrings, rings, watch. I might use one of the Bronzo chains for a large 18K Italian charm.
