Re: I've never used the word "fabrication" And others

The word PANTS is actually the correct way to use the word. Back in the old days a PANT was a sleeve-like garment that went over the leg and tied to a belt around the waist. When worn on both legs it became a PAIR OF PANTS.

"That's a nice pants" would make every English teacher I ever had turn over in her grave.  Fabrication?  Its their industry and if they want to make up words, fine with me.  Look what gets into Webster's every year.

"Color ways" is something I had never heard until QVC.

That's because you used a singular - that's - with a pleural - pants. Those are nice pants would be proper. A pleural with a pleural.

Don't need to spell it right, just use it right!

The use of the word fabrication to describe the material from  which a garment is made is now used industry-wide.  It's not just a QVC thing.  Why they decided fabric is now fabrication is a mystery but it is what it is.   I don't like it either.

@shaggygirl  If Susan's liquid knit was really liquid as she states during every presentation, she'd be standing in a puddle.
