I had wondered about that but perhaps it is products that are new and are not sold. I thought AS IS was if the product was returned.  At least I hope so.

@Candace I noticed that many items are the only order of the year lately and I wondered why so many. That is probably the reason.

With clothing anyway, I think rather than bring in 10,000 of a new item, they test the waters with 2500 and see how many returns they get and requests for more. Then they order more and new colors for the following year. Otherwise they have thousands of duds living forever in the lunch time special train.

Absolutely agree. Look at the Vince Camuto TSV handbag.  They all sold out except one color and now they have all colors available.  They have to be all returns.
