Apologies in advance for such a long post. I'll give a lot of info in hopes it will help you better understand my dilemma
TIA
I got my first Linea order today!! Yay!! The three quarter sleeve WK sweater (Ivory, Large) is a keeper. It fits in the shoulders but might be a little loose in the waist. Not sure how it was supposed to fit but I like it anyway. Very comfy
Not yet sure if I can pull off the Funnel Neck Sweater. I don't think it lays nicely on me and it ends up looking either like a cowl neck or like I'm tied up around the shoulders. I probably just don't know how to wear it right.
My biggest problem is the Ponte Knit pants. I was worried about length but the Petite length actually seems really good for me. It's the rest of the pant that doesn't fit me.
My measurements are:
True waist = 36
At bellybutton =39
Hips =44
Back Rise = 20 (According to that I should take a 3x)
The measurements published for the Ponte XLP are: waist = 38.7, low hip = 48 and Back Rise =16.438. I was really only looking at the Waist and went with my 39 measurement but knew it might be tight due to the Back Rise. I just opened the XLP and it's huge. I measured the waist and it's correct according to the size chart. They won't even stay on if I don't move.
I also ordered the L in regular length. They are much, much smaller but still a little too big. The size measurements for L are supposedly 34.75 for waist, 44 for hips and only 16 for Back Rise.
I don't think I could fit into the Medium. And I don't want to alter these. Even the circumference of the legs seem really wide for me. Being short legged I think I look better with pants a little tighter as opposed to the "flowy" look. I've really never had luck with Ponte pants but I thought perhaps Linea's fit might work for me.
I guess my question now is about the other pant styles he carries. Would one of them fit me better in your experiences? WK maybe? I want something comfortable but dressier than jeans. There are times jeans just aren't appropriate ![]()
Pants in general have always been an issue for me so if Linea doesn't work it won't really be a surprise. But fingers crossed here ![]()

Please post the item number for the ponte pants you are describing. There are several styles of ponte knit pants. We can help you out better if we know which ones you've tried.

A256444 Linea by Louis Dell'Olio Petite Pull-On Ponte Knit Pants
I have a 31" waist and 41.5" hips and went with Medium on this one and they fit in a fitted way on me.

KJ, are talking about the garment measurements or the fit chart measurements?

The measurements for the actual items. I never even bother with Q's sizing chart
I go to the Click Here charts.

I have a large waist and 40"" hip pants always fit. I went with the small in the Ponte pants even though it seemed it might be too small. The fit is perfect. I ordered the small in the WK pants and they are fine but could have ordered XS and they would have worked. The petite sizes are perfect on my shrinking 5' 3"" frame.
