I had on a new IM tee shirt, my denim pedal pushers from last year and sandals. I had actually put on mascara and brow product. It felt so good to feel somewhat normal.
@NEvans2 How was Sams in relation to the virus please?

I find myself getting excited just to go out to the store and I wear nice outfits when I do...really it's mostly for me since I don't see much of anybody. I also wear makeup (even with the mask) and do my hair.
However at home half the time I'm a slob ....though I try the other half to look somewhat decent.
Today is one of my slobby days. It's warm & humid (the AC is on) and I'm wearing very comfortable Bermuda PJ shorts and an old tee.

I had to laugh when I read this!
For lunch today! I had make-up, decent wedge
sandals.
I made a run to Costco during senior hour yesterday,
and I realized what I miss most (while out and about)
are people's smiles and facial expressions.
My husband said I can see the smiles in people"s
eyes, but not really.
We are all moving around away from each other.
Out of CA 58 counties, there are 11 still unable to
open up, and I live in one of them.
I am appreciative of the caution, and it will happen soon.

I was born in Pasadena and grew up on the beaches of Orange County before I migrated north.

@ECBG Everyone staff and shoppers were wearing masks, the store was clean and most shoppers were doing well on the social distancing. However, when we were checking out, the employee who was watching the self checkout people ( that's what we did) didn't wipe down the credit card machine or the belt you put your groceries on between customers. My husband had a fit and told her how unsanitary that was. I had disposal gloves on, but I did agree with my husband, and told her so. Not in a nasty way, but in a matter of fact way. As we were walking away, she cleaned the area we just used. She was standing there with spray cleaner and paper towels, but didn't seem to be using them. Go figure.

@NEvans2 I would urge you to call and ask to speak to the store not the asst mgr. Many elderly people shop there. It was lazy of her to just stand there
She can be identified with the date and time.

That's good to know! A fellow native CA.
I live in Northern CA, but we travel a lot (used to).
Our older son went to UCSD and had several friends
from OC.
My husband is from SoCA too.
Our weather this week has been fluctuating
a great deal. We had two days in the mid 80s
and right now we have a fire in our wood-burning
stove and expecting rain late tonight. It's windy
too.
Do you live in the Pacific Northwest?
