@rms1954   I prefer not to read words like “hate” or “despise” when referring to clothing colors. It seems like awfully strong words for an issue that’s not earth shaking.

I don’t like royal blue either. My favorite is french blue.

Navy blue can be hard to match.

I love olive. There are many shades/degrees of olive.  I still wear it, even though I have less high color (when I'm not exerting myself or its not very hot or cold☺) than I used to.  Royal blue looks hideous on me. 

As I stated elsewhere, my complexion is cool.

I like some shades of blue ... but the bright royal they are showing now ISN"T one of them.

It is too strong for me but ,so what? I find heaps to buy  here and none of it is blue. I just bought  3 items this weekend and not one of them is blue

If you want to pick Q apart, I guess one reason is just as good as another

Susan Graver makes a beautiful blue called sapphire.  I prefer it to royal blue (which I also like.)

I like olive too but it has to be the right shade of olive.  Some olives have too much yellow to them and when worn by my face make me look ill.

Royal blue is one of my favorite colors and I get compliments when I wear that color.  I like olive green too and have recently added more to my wardrobe.
