I've always loved plaid too.  Mad about plaid.  Plaid pants on me would be a hell no.  I prefer my plaid in accessories or maybe a top.

I got the Joan holiday plaid skirt and I am a bit disappointed.  Never is anything as pretty as it appears with great camera work but this skirt is still worthy of kudos.  However, the disappointment is based on the length.  I ordered a petit and much to my chagrin, they are all the same length and this one will need to lose about 6-7 inches in order for it to be wearable.  I will have spent a lot of bread on it by then to  make it wearable.  I should have opted for something else for candlelight services.

I thought that the Joan Rivers plaid maxi skirt was nice when it was shown in Canada a few weeks ago. I would think that it would look nice paired with a black top or a white top. It's striking enough that it doesn't need to be paired with any other plaid clothes or accessories though.

I prefer to wear plaid only in scarves for the most part. I do have a Gap red and black plaid moto jacket but it requires thought as it really needs a plain colored top underneath it. I did see a lady last year who had the same jacket and it looked nice on her.

I read many peple complained about the skirt length. It's a shame they can't let petites have a garment ,that is truly made for them alone

I am surprized they did that. I will say though ,I think it's a garment worthy of the tailoring costs. It is a timeless classic that will give you many seasons of wear

LOL.  I would love that but with my weight gains and losses due to so many steroids, so much other chemo, I might be two sizes larger or two sizes smaller next season, but do think it a worthy garment and I am happy to have it and even happier to have another holiday season and hopefully a Christmas upcoming with so many events to attend: theater, political parties, musicals, our church parties, parties for charities, the clubs and especially my sweet family events.  It is indeed a blessing!!!

I had a lot of plaid clothing items, but thought it was out of style as no one was wearing it, so I donated all of it but one jacket.  All of my items were from Pendleton and were expensive.

I am always a day late and a dollar short it seems.

I think the royals wear plaid when they are attending things like the Braemare( sp?) games in Scotland ,and other events tied to Scotland

The late Queen Mother was a Scots, and had a castle in Scotland as do the Queen ,and Prince Phillip

I love watch plaid. It's one of my very favorites

I'm a fan of plaid but only if the plaids match up at the seams.  I bought a Joan Rivers plaid blouse and in the video the model never turned around.  I should have known the reason.  When the blouse arrived it was a horrible mismatch.
