That's more of a pastel than she usually wears.

I am teaching about WWII and the Battle of Britain. When she was a teenager during the war she worked as a driver and jeep mechanic.  I showed my students a picture of her under a jeep, changing the oil. The British loved the Royal family even more for the way they served England during the war.

I was so touched by the Queen's vists to the victims of the recent bombings!!

She looked amazing as usual as her compassion clearly meant quite a bit to all those with whom she had contact:

I hope it helped the victims and their families to have that visit. That's a very colorful ensemble.

I wonder what that pin is that she's wearing. I zoomed the picture on my tablet, but I still can't tell.

It was good of the Queen to visit the victims in the hospital.  Remarkable actually, at her age.  Too bad her husband no longer accompanies her on such missions.

That's quite a hat.  I wonder if she ever re-uses them ...

Re: I love Queen Elizabeth's Style

I Googled for info about her pin. It's her Duchy of Lancaster badge. It's associated with the Duchy of Lancaster coat of arms, it's a silver feather with a gold lion standing on a blue banner that reads Sovereyne. She wears it when visiting the Lancaster area, which was her second visit of the day.

Her outfit is by Angela Kelly

I know!  Everything she wears is stunning.

I did try to see if I could find and post a better photo that you could see the pin closer but couldn't find one.  A previous photo did include a really nice pin--incase you missed it scroll through the thread and it's still posted!!

Thank you!
