I don't see women wearing the pretty clothing in stores.....

I'm just wondering who is wearing all the nice clothing that I see in Whitehouseblackmarket, Macys and other nice clothing stores. It seems like the majority of women are wearing work-out wear-yoga pants, hoodies etc... or jeans and and a very casual top. I live in Colorado, so maybe it's different elsewhere? Would love to hear others observations...

I just figured women wear these nice things at work.

We went to a white tablecloth, nice china Thanksgiving buffet today at the casino.  My observation was 80% of the people were wearing tennis shoes.  It is very casual around here, Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  I think the "nice" clothes are being saved for office jobs and church.  I notice even Louis Del Olio has expanded his leisure section.

Since I stopped working, I'm very casual. Jeans every day and some sort of top. I have many pairs of Toms flats for summer and in the winter I mostly wear Merrell clogs. Or Olikai flats.

I have a few pairs of nice pants if I need to dress up some, but 99% of my clothes are casual. No hoodies though.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I'm going to my niece's for dinner and plan to wear this:

Liz Claiborne 3/4 Sleeve Scoop Neck Woven Blouse-Talls ZCO Cross Flap Pocket Pants - Tall

Image result for felishan black

I felt like dressing up a little more but I will probably be rolling around the floor with the kids.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

@depglass  I think it's pretty much a cra/pshoot what someone wears to a dinner at a casino.   LOL!  Smiley Happy

Re: I don't see women wearing the pretty clothing in stores.....

I think the last time I saw women wearing "dress-up" clothes was at a wedding. The time before that it was at a funeral and even there some people were dressed too casual imo...with sneakers and shorts.

I don't get out much but when I do I notice the women wearing the nicer clothes are usually at work...probably in an office or some other professional type environment.

I don't know if it's good or bad, but the world is more casual now. I went out to a restaurant for dinner today and wore black pants, a top and matching jacket by Linea. I personally am retired and dress casually, jeans and some type of top, some more dressy than others. I still have a closet full of dressier clothing for those occasions that call for them, more than I will ever need. My plan, again, is to thin out my closet of a lot of those dressier clothes, after the holidays. Will take them to a "Dress for Success" type place here in town.

"To each their own, in all things".
