This is true. Modal is not meant for form-fitting clothing.

I think designers have forgotten the art of draping fabric.

Modal is symply chinese bamboo. They finally figured out what to do with the weed other than feed pandas.

Easy to drink the kool-aid.

I have a top from talbots ,that is a cotton modal blend. Mine is very nice. It doesn't cling ,and it isn't tight.

According to Wikipedia, Modal is most often made from beech trees. It would have to say "bamboo modal" if it were made from any kind of bamboo. @hennypenny

Modal is touted to be colorfast, with no shrinkage or pilling. But they do use a lot of chemicals in its processing.

Maybe Spanx undies would help...?

My story: purchased beautiful modal tops two falls ago from GAP. (Long sleeve crew) SO last fall I tried again. GIANT FAIL...the fabric was not the same.

No draping! No shape.

So, there is modal and then there’s modal. ?
