I saw her on tv and that is the extent of my knowledge of her. I do wish her daughter comfort as I have lost my mom and that is a hard time. Life goes on.
how compassionate of you. Do you now feel better? I am so tired of people who have to respond in a nasty way to a good kind thread. Keep your "Geez" to yourself.

I think it is especially hard to grasp because it seems she did not have to die, she was healthy and very active with a bigger than life personality. Something must have gone terribly wrong.

I am kind of surprised myself about how sad I am. She was one of a kind.

Yes, my sentiments exactly. It's not as though she succumbed after a long illness which would have been sad enough, but expected and easier to accept because it's something you can comprehend......but knowing that she walked into that facility on her own accord, a healthy an active woman, for a voluntary and routine procedure, and never made it out, is incomprehensible to me and absolutely tragic.

Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any age.

After just viewing a video from the funeral, I am - if possibly - even sadder about Joan. My heart breaks for Melissa, and Cooper was so caring with his mom. We all go through such things but wish so much this had not happened. Soon I hope I will be remembering the laughs and not the loss.

If you ""feel like you have lost a family member"" and ""can't stop crying"" you are way to invested in a fantasy relationship with a stranger. That really is not healthy for you in your REAL life. Perhaps you should talk to a professional who can help you find a different focus. Take care of yourself.
I so agree! There is too many Joan threads that I am truly worried for some posters. Now that is sad.

Some people are more emotional than others. That is just the way it is.
