Sizing and fit info from total strangers and even from hosts doesn't help me at all. If a poster is my height and my weight, that doesn't mean we wear the same size clothes. There's a lot of diversity when it comes to clothing size. Also, some women like to wear their clothes shrink-wrapped tight and others prefer a loose-comfy fit. Fit is relative. I think one of the reasons why so many people have fit problems is that they depend too much on what complete strangers say about the clothing. I do have friends and relatives who are Qvc shoppers, I do value their advice because I know them.

I think most women here on the fashion boards come here for sizing and garment information, I don't think they pay any attention to the online reviews. They've said so in other threads, that they don't really trust the reviews on the item pages, because people can post reviews without having actually bought the item. So many times there will be reviews from people that clearly don't even own the item, and they will either give a negative review or give a review saying they want something else other than what the item is. Which is ridiculous, that people can do that.
Many regular posters here have said that they don't even read the reviews and that most of the reviews aren't helpful to them at all. That is why I stopped leaving reviews for items I've purchased.
Yes! It's so true. And not just with clothing. Many times, you read a product review and you can tell right off the bat that the customer doesn't even own the item, she's just making stuff up for the fun of it or she doesn't like a particular designer or vendor and decided to post a negative review.

I'm one who never reads reviews, but I do write them. I don't care much what other people think of a product ... For instance, I haven't a clue about the criteria they use for their assessment of quality of fabric and construction on a garment. As far as size is concerned, the click here charts work for me because I know my body measurements, how much ease I require and what styles work best for me.

I so agree with this post! I always read reviews. But I really like it when on a garment the reviewer says for instance for me...I am a 40C about 150lbs, 5'5" and I ordered a large & it fit just right or was tight, however it fit...too long too short. It tells me ok say on a jacket, maybe I would like to go up a size to wear a sweater under it. It gives me a lot more info than anything else. I also look to see, are some posting that the material is really nice or cheap...does it wash well. I know that would be a lot for one person to post but just saying any extra info is always helpful! And I have to say it has kept me in the past from having tosend things back & pay the extra shipping! I have found from watching the Q that my fit is a lot like the model Jackie. Not height but otherwise. So I also like it when they ask the models "what size do you have on?" Maybe I am to caucious but shipping adds too much in the first place, let alone having to return something & pay that too!

I appreciate thoughtful reviews. Nothing is worse than "I love the color and it fit great!" without giving some size/body shape details.
I try to rely mostly on the clickable size chart, but reviews do help me decide if I should order up or down a size.
QVC sizing is a hot mess. I recently ordered a D&Co dress in XS and a Joan Rivers skirt in size 8. They both fit me perfectly. I ordered those sizes due to the helpful reviews.

I so agree, when people share their sizing experience, it is so helpful. Thank you for doing this.

I always try to remember to include the size I ordered and how it fit ""my pear-shaped"" self. It's helpful to me when others do that!

Yes, O/P, I've been thinking the exact same. If the reviewers would state their size and the size that they ordered and are happy with, etc. It would be a huge help to us! Same with height/length, if possible.

I read the reviews here and on HSN. I find them very helpful, especially when it comes to clothing and shoe sizes.

I DO read the reviews. It helps me decide if maybe I need to size up or down a size. If a product has too many negative reviews I don't order it. If it has tons of positive ones I tend to order.
