Yes, yes and Yes! I buy way too much clothing that often just hangs in my closet, or even worse, sits in its packaging inside a drawer, never (or hasn't yet been) worn.
I found myself ordering muliples of things I like and then wondering why.
My life has certainly narrowed, and I need to realize this.
Several months ago, I read an article in The New Yorker about "fast fashion". It said that people buy an article of clothing on average once a week. This includes everything. So much ends up donated and then in landfill.
I am definitely going to try to curtail this over buying.
Sometimes I think being at home a lot has contributed to this problem.

I've tried to narrow it down by asking before any purchase: do I NEED this or just WANT this? It cuts down a lot....

I have way too many tops - and quite a few horizontal striped tops. Today, I'm wearing a wider horizontal striped cotton top - 3/4 sleeves - yellow and white. I actually tossed out a top - flowery with sequins on the front - which I've had for a couple of decades. Finally, I put it in the trash today. So proud of myself - my closet is full.

Clothes from the clearance rack that I don't really like but I bought because they were super cheap. I end up never wearing them!

I need to stop buying horizontal striped tees. I love to wear striped tees with jeans and shorts all year long. I like them on their own and layered under hoodies, cardigans, and jackets. I prefer the narrower striped versions. I probably own about a dozen which is more than enough. 🥴
Yep.

Refraining from buying more yarn will have no effect on my work. I have enough yarn in my stash now to last me for many years! This is less than half it! (and I'm waiting for my most recent order to arrive tomorrow - I needed those two new colors.)

Sweaters ... I love making sweaters.
@ALRATIBA It would seem one shouldn't give up a passion! Stitchery is your love!
It's like you have your own yarn store!

Does your " Yep" mean you also buy too many horizontal striped tops? Or are you agreeing that I have too many?
