If you were going to the royal wedding next month, what would you wear? They have invited some members of the public, which made me think..what would one wear?

Dress obviously, hat or fascinator. Some great shoes and a nice bag. Post pictures of your hypothetical outfit.

Re: Hypothetical, Just For Fun

I put together this quick outfit. Fascinator is from Amazon. Tahari gown, Badgley Mischka shoes and bag. Would add a wrap.

I’d wear a fitted silk suit in a mellow spring color. I guess I’d have to add a big hat or a fascinator.

It's a daytime wedding and it's England; so, I would follow tradition.  I don't care for suits so I would wear a sheath dress with a matching coat.  It would be pale lavendar silk and I'd wear dyed to match pumps.  A chic fascinator, nothing over the top.  A clutch.  I would wear pearl jewelry.  Pictures????   I'd like to but I do not have the time or energy for that after working all day.

Oh well. I’d have to RSVP my regrets. I won’t wear a dress for anything....not even the Royals.

Re: Hypothetical, Just For Fun

A fine fantasy of what to wear on the big day!

Might as well wear jeans, a T-shirt,  and sneakers. 2600 or so people from the public are invited to the grounds to see the wedding party arrive and depart. The wedding ceremony, for which you’d probably expect to dress properly for, is private. No one among the 2800 public invitees will be close enough to be considered “attending the wedding”. Selected public are invited to be part of the day, not invited to the wedding. Won’t matter what they wear.

A quote from the BBC (UK) article:

“Members of the public lucky enough to be invited will watch the arrivals of the bride, groom and wedding guests as well as the carriage procession as it departs from the castle after the service.”

if it’s televised, I might tune in and I can curtsy if I see the Queen. Respect and all that. Hope the couple live happily ever after, for sure.

Since I pretty much wear jeans all the time, something in denim with maybe a denim and camo fascinator!  Of course some really fancy dressy shoes.  Don't think I could find a picture to post of my choice outfit!
