I also hang wet clothing on my HH to dry. No problems at all. Joy even shows doing this when she demonstrates her CloseDrier.

I've had the pink for a couple of years and no transfer. I would send them back. You have some defectives. I won't buy anymore b/c for me they are hard to get used to. I like a smooth surface and they're too much trouble getting them on straight. Not worth the trouble even though clothes do not slip.

None of my velvety hangers have ever bled onto clothing. I've had Joy's in taupe, Costco's in black, and Bed, Bath in bright hot pink. All fine.
