Shawn's last show of the two-day fashion day event had me laughing out loud.  The ubiquitous obi belt was being presented for the umpteenth time and Shawn had several women crew members and assistants and producers (plus Sally Combs of Earth Brands shoes) come on camera to help model how an outfit might look before and after addition of the belt.

Two of the women were twins, Erin and (I think) Lisa.

There was a lot of talk about how the belt made you "date-ready" and might bring a prince, and so on.  It was all very friendly and funny.

They mentioned that one sister, Lisa, was married.  When comments were made about how difficult it was to tell them apart, Erin said, "She's married; I'm not."  Everyone cracked up, including me!

LOL! My mom was an identical twin. I looked more like my aunt because we both had round faces and my mom's was true oval. I used to hear so many fun stories. When my aunt and uncle were dating, they fixed my mom up with my uncle's older brother. They ended up dating for a while too. One night my mom and my aunt decided to "switch." My uncle and his brother had no idea, until the end of the evening when my mom and my aunt told them. My uncle was not happy! But everything worked out! My aunt and uncle were never blessed with children, so my late brother and I were like theirs too. We never lived near them (we were in the south; they were northeast), but they came to visit a lot, and we would go up every summer. There were so many weird things - during my first year of college, my mom broke her ankle. My aunt called a day later and said her foot had been "hurting" all day. They would send the same cards. They both died suddenly - almost a year apart to the day. My uncle's brother ended up marrying a widow with a son. I always enjoyed being around them too.

Thanks for letting me reminisce! Smiley Happy

Twins are special. DD was a fraternal twin, but she was the only baby to make it.

They were beautiful ladies, but I didn't think they looked alike.  It was funny though.

Re: How to tell twins apart

[ Edited ]

I can usually tell identical twins apart.  In fact most of them are not identical at all.  Some identical twins have different facial shapes.  One face is thinner.  One can be left handed the other right handed. Often they are different heights.  Those that are exactly alike (almost) are rare.

I watched that show, and I thought the taller twin looked so much like Shawn!! Did anyone else notice how similar they looked?  I was struck by how much they looked alike.

The picture of Erin is on Shawn's Facebook page.

You're right, they do look alike.  I was wondering who she looked like and it was staring me right in the face all the time!

I think the twins looked different on air because (1) they were only seen from a distance and (2) they were dressed very differently and (3) their hair was also styled differently.
