Re: How to ruin a good concert

I was also doing some other chores while watching, but was surprised that Oprah did not annoy me as much as I thought she would.  I will say, in my opinion, the Oprah thing added nothing to this concert.  Less Oprah, more Adele would have been my preference.

I don't mind Oprah at all and for a few reasons. She pulled herself up from the gutter and worked hard to achieve what she has. I admire people who work and don't sit around collecting. I also don't mind all the hated ones in Hollywood. Again, they work for a living and provide thousands of jobs for others to work.

There are people I don't like but it's mostly for their hate filled ideas or nasty personalities. Oh well, everyone is free to hate who they want.

@chrystaltree   I stopped listening to both women really, but as elegant as Adele looked and sounded, your description of Oprah as sappy soap opera was exactly what I thought about the lyrics of the album as a whole.

Oprah is a joy to watch. Always. I, personally, don't care for Adele or her music. I find her voice to be really annoying and she tries too hard to be "deep." I know that many people like her; I am not one of them.

Since this IS a fashion board...

Her jacket on the interview:

adele-suit

Christopher John Rogers

Swarovski crystal-Embellished Jacket, $3,395 SAKS

Her matching pants were actually made for her but the original design was a skirt, $2,450.

Wow! I was taught that hate is not good and I think there's way too much of it going around. I find it sad that you seem to be encouraging it. To me, people here are only expressing a preference not hate as you suggest and I would hope people understand the difference between preference, dislike and outright hate. Thoughts and words do matter.

Exactly on what planet does a review of Oprah have to do with the Fashion forum? Are we talking about how she is dressed or is this just another inappropriately placed dig at Oprah?😳

So you're ok with hate, too?
