I have another Sure Post due to me from Evine and when I try to investigate having it delivered directly this is what I get, I am not sure how I could get the package delivered directly

Hi @I am still oxox.  I'm puzzled, because I just receive these emails from UPS saying that I have a package coming by SurePost and asking if I want to upgrade it for an fee ($3.00 I think).  I haven't ever tried to contact them on my own about an upgrade, and I've never taken them up on their offer to upgrade, lol. Maybe it's just some SurePosts that are eligible for upgrade? Or maybe the ability to upgrade varies by geographical area?  I think I remember that you live in a small town, and I live in a medium sized metro area. Could that make a difference?  Definitely check to make sure that you are currently registered for the free MyUPS program (but you probably already did that).  Who knows, maybe I live in an area where UPS is just trying out something new. ???

I generally get the messages from UPS that a package is on the way but I have been seen the upgrade option. 

Edited to add, ah ah yes it is there, I was searching their website, and did not look at the e mail.

I wonder if I get an e mail on every package that is shipping UPS Sure Post

My local post office always delivers it the day after it receives it.  The only exceptions have been when there's a blizzard the day it's scheduled to arrive.

UPS has no control on what is delivered to the PO. The trucks are loaded and the driver takes certain packages to the PO. Even though UPS comes out in our area every day, most of my packages are brought by USPS.

My OVC package was delivered to USPS end of day yesterday, and it is still sitting there, I am in a small town and there is no reason for them to hold the package for the day.

The whole UPS to USPS is so annoying, I have said many times I will gladly pay 2-3 dollars more to have my packages sent via UPS

@I am still oxox  You can register with UPS for something called "UPS My Choice."  It's free, and one of the features is that they send you an email notification whenever something is being sent to you by UPS.  If the package is being sent by "Smart Post", they give you the option to upgrade your delivery for about $3.00.  That means that UPS doesn't hand over to USPS; they just deliver it themselves.  There's also the option to pay a $40 annual fee and designate that you want ALL of your Smart Post deliveries to be automatically upgraded.

I don’t see why I should pay extra to get them to do what they used to do because it was their job. They DOWNGRADED all of us and never once asked if we minded. Pay extra for the same service we used to get? I don’t think so.

@willdob3 if you are getting a package Sure Post or Smart Post it isn't the fault of UPS or FedEx. The shipper (QVC in this case) determines how they want the package to be shipped. These options are cheaper and therefore the shipper chooses this option. I get most of my packages from QVC via UPS but sometimes they come Sure Post. But since UPS comes to my job everyday anyway they just deliver my packages themselves.
