Honestly, just looks tacky, imo. Can't imagine a place I personally would ever go where that heel would be appropiate. With a black heel the boots would be cute.

I do not care for the gold heel but I like the other one.  It is very sharp!  Of course, I can't wear it or any pretty footwear any more, but I say to those who can, go for it!  I am envious!

I love and would wear the model with the gold heel if the price were right, but the "build" of the shoe would be too high for me to walk in.

The gold heel would be more difficult to style and more "memorable." I would wear them with the right outfit, but probably not very often.

I've seen small gold accents on flats this summer as I walk behind people into my place of employment.  A sliver of gold that causes a flash of interest is one thing.  I personally don't care for a solid gold colored heel.

That flats I saw looked something like this, except imagine the gold accent was not as tall/prominent

On a dry, sunny winter day, I can imagine walking along the main streets of any large city in those boots; of course, I can't wear that heel in any color and I spend my winters in the South, so I have no call for any boots.  Am old lady can dream though!
