I prefer to not have this particular type of trim esp. on purses. I like a cleaner look. I'll remove tassels if that is an option , otherwise I will not buy if the tassel or fringe is not removable, no matter how much I like other aspects of the piece.

I don't mind a touch on footwear (depends on the style) or a bag.

Other than that you have to tread carefully (best as a touch on an accessory)

fashion wise I am alright with it. I think it looks fine.  Personally it would drive me crazy to wear. I like clean cut & simple items. I have one purse with a long tassel on a zipper and it gets on my nerves. I know if I had any hanging on the hemline or something I would catch it on something ! (clumsy?)

I have had kittens before that would be very attracted to it.

i definitely like tassles on purses. fringe, not so much, unless, it's tastefully and not overly done. on clothes, never. it's not my style. younger people can pull off that look and even look cute. I'm way passed that!

I like the look of some of it, but I don't want to mess with it. Buckskin jackets would be a must have it on it things.

The only item I have with fringe is a black wool wrap that I like to wear on cold mornings. I guess that doesn't make me much of a fan.

I like a bit of fringe or tassel.  I have Steve Madden Darcie style sandals that have a tassle, and they are darling.  I have a B Mak purse with fringe and an oryany with fringe, and I like it.  I don't want a lot of pieces, but I like a few !
