Re: How do you feel about Easy Pay?

I quit purchasing in March and my bank account is thriving!  At the end of the month I would wonder where all my money went - TO EASY PAYS OF COURSE!  Should I ever purchase again, it will be full price.

I do not use it but it is nice to know that the option is there.

Re: How do you feel about Easy Pay?

I have used easy pay a few times, but it always makes me a little uncomfortable. I just don't like seeing that partial payment on my CC. statement. I really don't like the way they promote it constantly.

Re: How do you feel about Easy Pay?

I don't have a problem with using Easy Pays. When I use that option, I log the payment amount and number of reoccurances in my bill calendar program so I can easily see when it will come out in the future. Subscription payments of any kind are not nice surprises!

This is the website for the program I use: Budget Calendar. http://www.mishell.ca/ Not fancy or pretty, but it gets the job done beautifully. They should sell it on QVC.

Where I imagine people could get tripped up is if they buy an expensive item on autodelivery, and then the autodelivery schedule occurs faster than the Easy Pay schedule. Like if you were set up to receive a cosmetics kit or food item every three months, but it had 5 easy payments on it. Eventually you could find yourelf with double or triple payments in the same month! Yikes.

I have never used it. I guess it is good that it is there if you want or need to use it.

Makes no difference to me.  I always pay by check.

Re: How do you feel about Easy Pay?

I'm not against Easy Pay, but I do think there should be a minimum total which is eligible for it.  For an $800 computer, or even a $100 skincare set, easy pay is a nice thing, but when I see items that are $30 with five easy pays it makes me dislike the plan.

I don't know if this is for every flex pay item, but I've noticed HSN sometimes offers the customer a choice of  how many flex payments they want.  A recent item I ordered had these options: 2 or 3 flex with regular credit cards; and 2, 3 or 4 with HSN card.

Re: How do you feel about Easy Pay?

Totally agree. I don't use a Q card, but with a regular card the default

is easy pay. I edit it every time. I feel the easy pays are deceptive. I don't really know what I owe.

Easy pays are a way to enable people to spend when they don't have it. Of course not everyone who uses easy pay is in this group, but many are. It allows charging when your close to being maxed out.

My opinion of it would be different if it was necessary to put necessaries on installments. Then of course it could be helpful.
