Re: How about a Louis Del Olio TSV?

If I'm not mistaken, I thought the Q attempted to eliminate the Linea line, but a group of ladies fought to bring it back, and the line was then continued but with limited quantities.

If this was the case, maybe there is a small customer base for Louis's pieces and a TSV wouldn't sell the thousands of pieces that other lines do.

That's ancient history at this point, Louis came back bigger than ever (not limited quantities--plus he added new lines like Linea Jewelry and Linea Body and Linea Leisure have been added) and he had a TSV since then---the Linea Ponte Peplum Jacket that everyone is discussing in this thread.

For all we know he will have another, but he will not be able to reveal it to us in advance, as the Q naturally wants to control the publicity on TSVs---like in the Insider Magazine, etc. Also, they plan the TSVs a long time in advance, up to a year, I believe.

I really don't care if he has a TSV or not, I'm just thrilled that he is still designing for us on the Q and I will continue buy his wonderful Linea designs.

I don't really care either if he has a TSV. Many times we do get OTO's and those are great, and this way he can keep his line a little less mass marketed. There is so much pressure with a TSV to sell thousands and thousands, and Linea is a bit like a fabulous little boutique within QVC.

Re: How about a Louis Del Olio TSV?

Every so often someone starts a ""Lets have a TSV post"". If you want a TSV go over to Louis's website and ask him. He has commented every time some one has requested one. Last one (the peplum jacket) was fabulous but the add on skirts and sweaters sold out in a nanosecond and took almost 2 years to restock and some colors were never restocked. I would personally prefer a one time only.

I think Louis should have both, OTOs and a TSV. I think I own every Linea TSV, sweaters, suedes, my treasured boucle emb jackets and the most recent ponte with the peplum. Each was unique and special and they all did well. It gets tiresome when the same people always get TSVs. There are 364 TSVs in a year, why can't one be Linea?

I think the peblum jacket TSV was in early 2013. The matching sweater was in smaller quantities and hard to get.

That peplum jacket was killer! I bought the black and the Navy.... I did switch out the buttons on the Navy to silver but love those jackets -- they are holding up extremely well too - I have worn the black one a lot ...

Re: How about a Louis Del Olio TSV?

When QVC offers a clothing TSV they have expectations of selling 20,000 or more units or else it is not considered a success. The Linea line is limited in its appeal because the nature of the clothing is higher end and only appeals to a smaller and sprcific subset of QVC customers. it is unlikely that they would capture the huge numbers of sales they are looking for to justify a TSV in the Linea line.

They ought to do the Whisper Knit Turtleneck during next year's holiday gifting season. They make lovely presents. Add a few colors, but KEEP THE QUALITY, QVC.

Yes they do make great gifts! Have a matching scarf too!

Another Linea TSV would be wonderful.
