Re: How about a Louis Del Olio TSV?

has anyone asked louis if he has one planned for this year or not? he should probably know pretty soon whether or not there will be one scheduled for 2015. i would think many of his collections are done or in the process of being done for this year. i think that they plan them quite far in advance.

He should know. But, then again, I've asked him when the LL skirt will be available and he doesn't seem to know.

They ought to do the Whisper Knit Turtleneck during next year's holiday gifting season. They make lovely presents. Add a few colors, but KEEP THE QUALITY, QVC.

The bottom line, is the bottom line. They are judged by $ per min. Obviously Susan and Isaac make more $ per min than Louis and Jac. On the other hand, Louis works very hard for us, and mayabe he likes more free time. I'd love to see more of him also, and not in the middle of the night. I am so greatful to be a Linea Lady.

My guess is he couldn't provide enough inventory for a TSV.

Thank you all of the responses and I think to address the issue that other designers such as Graver and Isaac bring in more money; some of it must have to do with them getting so much more air-time than Louis ??. Give Louis more airtime!!! Spread the word lol

Re: How about a Louis Del Olio TSV?

If they want it to sell in the tens of thousands, then it would have to appeal to a lot of people. In that case, he would need to make a Denim & Co or SG type of garment/tent to please the masses.

You see this when Bob Mackey has a TSV. It looks nothing like his usual line of clothing. It has a BM-esque quality to it somewhere, but it's basically a Denim & Co item with a BM flower on the shoulder or something.

Trust me, these guys are better off just doing their thing for the people who love them and not try to make something for all women.

Yes, it's a classic chicken and egg scenario. You have to be on a lot to sell a lot and the only to be on a lot is sell a lot. It also helps to be schedule for prime time hours. When Linea was on at 8 or 9 pm last year most items sold out; if you're on at 7am and unable to take advantage of the west coast, sales will be fewer.

I'd love a TSV and to see Linea on once a month or more with primo hours.

I think you are right. I would love to have more from Louis but I fear the quality of his merchandise, if produced en masse, would decline to equal that of other designers who, interested in making money en masse, will sacrifice their design and quality for quantity.

Re: How about a Louis Del Olio TSV?

Those who love Linea should be careful what you ask for. Bear in mind that more could ultimately mean less. By that I mean the quality of the line could suffer if Louis produced more quantity in order to be on air more often, and definitely to have more TSVs. If limited on air appearances is a component to keeping Linea at the high level of quality which makes us appreciate it so, then I can live with how things are now.

I'd love to see last that peplum TSV jacket come back in new colors. I really love it and would buy another.

Re: How about a Louis Del Olio TSV?

It seems someone at corporate doesn't like Louis and/or his designs, yet us ladies are demanding he bring in more new merchandise and we write to corporate about this. Someone clearly is listening because his items sell out and then sometimes they get reordered. Louis credits us and lets us know while on the air that we have the power to change things. I totally agree that he rarely has a TSV and we want more TSV's by Louis.
