I really don't pay attention to stuff like this.  I am short; I could be thinner.  Nothing I do is going to fool people about that, or make them like me better, so I wear what I think is attractive and what I feel comfortable, and what looks like an upstanding citizen of relatively good clothing sense would wear.

@Sooner  I don't fit entirely in the petite category either. I'm 5'1" tall and 100 lbs. and can wear a 2-4 pants, but because of gymnastics from a young age through college, I have very broad shoulders and wear a 10-12 tip or size large in knits. Now that's a shape that's difficult to fit, too. Don't be so tough on yourself.

@Shanus  Ha!  That was me in college only about 5'2" and 105 to 110.  I have very long legs and arms and like you broad shoulders.  Nothing ever fit.  Junior sizes gave me the PeeWee Herman look and nothing else fit either!  OH do I remember the days!  Yes you are so right.

For clothing fit, fatter has been easier I will say!  LOL!!

Re: How To Style Petite Figures Justine Leconte

I've always loved being a petite woman and never had a problem with clothing fitting because I'm a proportioned petite. As long as clothing is made for a petite figure and not someone 5ft 8. I see many gorgeous petite women out and about, especially young women who work in the upscale malls where I live. They are always dressed so beautifully and their hair and makeup too.
