How Quickly Have You Seen The Price For Certain Clothes Change?

There was a scarf I just "kind of" liked on amazon.  I had pushed it off into "saved items" several times.  I just looked at amazon and was shocked that a $57.00 scarf has jumped to $145.00!  I've never seen anything like that that wasn't because of a sale!!!

Is it still coming from the same vendor?  Sometimes prices are different depending on who the vendor is.

If I see something I like and I want it and the price works for me, I buy it because I know that if I re-visit it later, the price might be much higher.  Amazon vendors can change their prices whenever they want to.  I do remember that I had that happen to me a year or two ago with a pair of boots.  I dillied and dallied for over a week and when I decided to buy them,  they were twice the price.  Lesson learned.

I noticed this a little while ago with a non-clothing item.  I put an item in my wishlist, and when I checked back, the price had doubled.  After 2 days, the price had reverted back to the original cost.  I questioned this policy, and couldn't figure out what Amazon was trying to prove.  It really angered me.

@Carol08,It's the vendor, not necessarily from amazon.  If it is in amazon's stock it will say fulfilled by amazon.  This increase was probably the vendor price gouging for the holidays.  I was "iffy"  now I'm "NO!".Smiley Happy

The prices on Amazon can change daily!  Amazon is just the broker for selling the vendor's items.  They do not set the prices, the vendor does.
