It's difficult to have truly short hair and have 'movement.'

Good tips.

"80 years old is 80 years old."

I laughed. I'm learning to accept some of the issues that come with being 80. The fact that I still get compliments from friends and even strangers tells me I doing something right. Oh, yes, I'll second the idea of keeping as slim and fit as you can.

There are two things I especially agree with.  No black eyeliner and "less is more".  Black liner is too harsh and brings too much attention to the eyes and not in a good way.  Piling on jewelry is out for me.  I like a 2 or 3 rings total with 2 on one hand and I like one or two bracelets but I still change off and sometimes never wear bracelets and just wear one ring.  Oh, one more thing -- always have a nice haircut.  Cat HappyCat Happy

I have this book and it's pretty good. I remember when the author passed away several years ago and she was fairly young.

I always say there are no rules, but these are some good guidelines to follow.

Charla Krupp is the author of the book "How Not To Look Old" and her advice still stands today even though she passed away a couple of years ago.

It's a book worth looking at. I own this book and won't give it away.

The only way to not look old is die young.  I am happy with looking old because I am.  I think I look good, but not wearing a chain on glasses isn't going to fool anyone.  You can have style or not, but in the end, you are old--you look old.  Get over it and have a good life!

For the life of me, I do not understand why women let their hair go gray. It ages them 10 to 20 years older. That is the first thing, in my opinion, that would make one look younger.

The best way not to look old is to stay as healthy as you can for as long as you can. Also your thoughts often show on your face. If you try and look at the world with good thoughts and a smile that comes easily.....I think that is more important than makeup, clothes or just about anything else. An optimistic attitude as we age helps just about everything.....
