You would be surprised at the selection of shoes, some brand new. Kids often outgrow shoes, before they see much wear

 

Adult shoes are also plentiful. Many are brand new ,or have almost no wear on them

 

This won't  solved the national problem, but, it will help families pinch the pennies and stretch their dollars.

Until they need to replace a refrigerator!  Don't see many of them at garage sales.

I wish the cost of new shoes was our biggest problem.
