Great looking dress.

But I always saw an "LBD" as a short black dress.

Have I been wrong all these years?

The definition I am familiar with is a simple and classic black dress.  The reason for the simple, classic lines is that it will stay relevant for years.  With clean lines, you make the dress what you need it to be.  I, too, have always thought of it as a short dress.

Re: How Monique Lhuillier does the LBD

I've always liked her.  But I'm mostly familiar with her wedding dresses.

I watch "Say Yes to the Dress" and she's sometimes on there.  She is lovely on the show.  Her dresses are feminine and beautiful with a hint of sexy.

I like the way she's willing to 'adjust' her styles to fit what the bride wants.  She isn't in the store that often, but when she's there, it's fun to see her and watch (on air) as she goes over the changes with the brides.

I like it; it's classy and sophisticated but fun and flirty.

@NicksmomESQ

Anyone is welcome to post anywhere.  Consistently, it seems that on the majority of posts the comment  has been something negative.  Not everything that I post reflects my taste, of course, but statistically by now there might have been one redeeming post, and this is the first that I can recall so I pointed it out.  I'm not asking you not to comment on my threads, I'm asking you to show me what you like, so we can discuss it. No hard feelings.  If you aren't the type of poster who starts threads, that's fine too, but the boards are more interesting when there are different posters with different topics, IMO.
